Ilana Belsky
“I love rough diamonds, each piece is like the promise of something magical waiting to be released. Sometimes I have an idea of what the finished diamond will look like but I am always guided by the stone, so each piece is completely unique and keeps the essence of the rough.”
Ilana has spent 27 years cutting diamonds, learning the craft from her father. Working in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, she combines traditional diamond-cutting skills with an individual approach to every stone.
Specialising in unusual and freeform cuts, she creates diamonds that celebrate the character of the rough rather than conforming to standard shapes.
